Overview

(AGES SIX AND UP)

At Canada Music Lessons, our drum teachers have state-of-the-art drums to demonstrate with and teach students the fundamentals of drumming. Our teachers teach rock, country, pop, gospel, jazz and many other styles of drumming, and challenge every student with exercises specifically designed to improve their skills an speed. Beginning students need only their drumsticks and a drum pad to practice at home.

What's the #1 reason to study drumming at CML?

If you've always wanted to hone your skills as a drummer, CML has the drum teacher for you. We work with you to create a lesson plan that fits your individual goals and your favorite type of music. Whether you are an adult playing in local bands or a seven year old taking their first lesson, we will help you work toward your musical aspirations.

Canada Music Lessons is a great place to get started on your drumming journey.

What styles of drumming do you teach?

Our drum teachers teach a variety of styles based on your goals and interests.

We teach all styles from rock, country, pop, gospel, jazz, to your favorite songs. If you

are looking to take yearly exams or if you are looking to play for enjoyment we have a teacher that will suit your goals.

How qualified are CML drumming instructors?

CML holds a high level of expectation from our teachers. Our teachers either have formal music training or many years of professional performing to glean from.

Our drum and music instructors have received their education from prestigious institutions, with some having completed more than one degree in their area of study. Our teachers are experts in their field. Some of our teachers have written their own curriculum and some have many years of professional performance experience to add value into your lessons

What will I learn from drumming lessons at CML?

Our teachers challenge each student with a wide range of exercises designed to help students improve with their drumming patterns and speed. Proper technique is taught to ensure the physical comfort of students as they progress through their studies. Drumming requires reading complex rhythms so teachers ensure that students learn theory as well as their practical exercises.

Are there drum recitals?

Absolutely! Every December and June, our students have the opportunity to perform in a supportive and encouraging environment. Unlike most of our competitors, we do not charge students a fee to perform. And admission is free, so you can invite all of your family and friends.

Do I need to purchase a drum kit to learn the drums?

Definitely not! Beginning students can practice at home with a drum pad and sticks for around $25.
