Violin Lessons
Overview
(AGES SIX AND UP)
Our violin teacher can teach a wide variety of genres. The violin is normally associated with classical and folk music and our teacher can help you navigate through the different skills required for both. Our students spend each week working on technical skills to improve their sound quality and intonation, but also have fun songs incorporated into the lessons so they can finish with their favourite piece. Our violin teachers, through their care and expertise, will certainly nurture any student's love of the violin.

What styles of violin do you teach?
Our teachers are specialized in helping beginners get started with good technique.
They use method books with a variety of styles to get you started.
How qualified are CML violin instructors?
CML holds a high level of expectation from our teachers. Our teachers either have formal music training or many years of professional performing to glean from.
Our violin and music instructors have received their education from prestigious institutions, with some having completed more than one degree in their area of study. Our teachers are experts in their field. Some of our teachers have written their own curriculum and some have many years of professional performance experience to add value into your lessons
What will I learn from violin lessons at CML?

Do I need to purchase a violin to take lessons?
CML teachers can recommend a good quality instrument for a beginner within a range of budgets. Ask your teacher what they would recommend based on your interest and goals.
Parents can sometimes find options for instruments on Facebook marketplace or Amazon if there is not a music store in your area.
Are there violin recitals?
Absolutely! Every December and June, our students have the opportunity to perform in a supportive and encouraging environment. Unlike most of our competitors, we do not charge students a fee to perform. And admission is free, so you can invite all of your family and friends.

Lessons are available five days a week, and scheduled once a week.
A one-time registration fee is $25 (due only at time of registration)
